INFORMATION ABOUT THE ECONOMIC ACTIVITY

With the aim of advancing activities related to the production or trade of weapons, explosives and hazardous materials, pyrotechnic products, as well as equipment for military and civilian purposes, and upon the initiative of several companies, a constitutive session was held on 23.03.2016, establishing the new Group for Weapons, Explosives and Hazardous Materials, Pyrotechnics and Military and Civilian Equipment as a separate form of organization and operation within the Trade Association.

The Group works on reviewing issues related to improving operations and resolving current challenges within the sector, adopts conclusions, and proposes measures that are of common interest to its members, in accordance with legislation and good business practices. In addition, the Group reviews draft laws and other regulations, provides opinions and proposals on issues of common interest to its members, and initiates proposals for the adoption and amendment of relevant legislation.

Mr. Jordan Anchovski from ICEMAK DOOEL was elected President of the Group, while Mr. Panche Poposki from MIKEI-INTERNACIONAL DOO was elected Vice President. In addition, a Management Board of the Group was elected, consisting of representatives tasked with representing the interests of all members of the Group in the areas of: trade in hunting and sporting weapons, ammunition, explosives and hazardous materials; trade in pyrotechnic products and organization of fireworks displays; trade in specialized defense products (armaments and military equipment); theoretical and practical firearms handling training and civilian shooting ranges; production of weapons and equipment; as well as hunting ground concessions and hunting associations.
