During the meeting, President Azeski presented the main activities of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, emphasizing its leading role in enhancing the export competitiveness of Macedonian companies and promoting them in global markets

As part of the working activities, the President of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, Branko Azeski, held a meeting with H.E. Md Daud Ali, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh for the region, based in Bucharest, Romania.

At the meeting, which took place on Chamber premises, President Azeski briefly presented the work and activities of the Chamber, highlighting its important role at the regional level through participation in the Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum (WB6 CIF) and other regional associations. He stressed that the Chamber is a leader in improving the export readiness of Macedonian companies and in promoting their products in international markets. Azeski pointed out that due to the recent crises faced by the world and the continent, the Chamber's focus had shifted, but had these crises not occurred, the focus would have been on securing high-quality human resources for the companies and further developing them.

Ambassador Ali noted that Bangladesh is a densely populated country, with a population of over 170 million, presenting opportunities for Macedonian companies and businesses. He emphasized that one of the primary industries in Bangladesh is the textile industry and pointed out potential points of cooperation between the two countries. He turned to the Chamber's experience and position in coordinating the next steps to enhance collaboration. As an example of successful deepening of bilateral relations, Ambassador Ali mentioned Romania, which, in the past four years since the opening of the embassy in Bucharest, has managed to quadruple its trade volume with Bangladesh.

Parties at the meeting noted that, although the current bilateral trade between the Republic of North Macedonia and the People's Republic of Bangladesh is at an undesirably low level, there is potential for deepening economic relations between the two countries. In this context, ideas for further development of cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, as well as the exchange of experiences and human resources were discussed.

Further steps were agreed upon during the meeting to promote the economic benefits of cooperation between the two countries.
