The European Digital Innovation Hub project – DigitMak, which began implementation this month, represents a significant step forward in positioning Macedonia as an active stakeholder in the European digital economy. As part of the initial activities, a consortium meeting of partners was also held, laying the foundations for coordinated and ambitious implementation.

DigitMak is a modern European Digital Innovation Hub that brings together expertise, infrastructure, and networks by uniting the DigitMak Hub in Skopje and the SEEU TechPark Hub in Tetovo. This synergy enables the creation of a single platform that will provide national coverage and direct support to businesses and the public sector, with a particular focus on regions outside the capital.

At a time when the application of artificial intelligence is becoming a key competitiveness factor, DigitMak will function as a one-stop shop through which companies and institutions will gain access to state-of-the-art technologies, knowledge, and expert support.

DigitMak delivers concrete, practical, and easily accessible services directly aligned with the needs of companies:

•        Test before Invest – an opportunity for companies to test new digital and AI solutions before investing, reducing risk and increasing decision-making certainty.

•        Training and Skills Development – specialized training for employees, managers, and technical staff, aimed at improving digital literacy and AI competencies.

•        Access to Finance Support – assistance in connecting with investors, grants, and EU funds.

•        Networking and Access to Innovation Ecosystems – linking with domestic and European partners, research centers, and technology companies.

Through these services, DigitMak will help companies become more competitive, more efficient, and better prepared for the digital future.

A particular value of DigitMak is its strong focus on artificial intelligence (AI). The hub will provide:

•        support for the introduction of AI solutions into business processes;

•        access to experts and infrastructure for testing;

•        an AI help desk as a first line of support for companies and institutions;

•        guidance for compliance with EU regulations.

Through this, DigitMak will actively contribute to faster adoption of AI in key sectors, as well as to the development of a sustainable and inclusive digital ecosystem.
